About the Presentation:
Having a tough time learning how to juggle life’s obstacles and opportunities?  How do you know when to take a chance on something new or take on another role or responsibility?  Frequently our own behaviors and beliefs can be limiting or cause us to turn away from possibilities in our business and personal lives.  Not taking the initiative in your latest project at work can cost you forward momentum in your career advancement or result in the loss of one of your clients.  If you have ever stopped yourself from asking someone for something because you assumed they would reject you, or if you have ever refused to take an action because you assumed you would not do well, you could benefit from the lessons presented here.

Come to a fun, interactive and exciting evening and explore how to take risks, acquire new skills, cope with mistakes, and, ultimately, how to succeed.  Overcome your fears and learn how to get the courage to take advantage of opportunities when they come across your table.

About the Facilitator:
ImageKathy Stroh has a Master’s Degree from the University of Colorado and has over 20 years of experience as an accomplished speaker, writer and teacher of conflict theory and management.  A previous recipient of the Director’s Award for outstanding teaching, the top accolade at the University of Phoenix, she has also authored Growing Wings, a book about conflict just published this year.  She has presented at a variety of government, academic and professional venues, including the U.S. Post Office, Hewlett-Packard Company, the Denver Police, and the University of Hawaii.

Time:  Dinner and networking starts at 6:00am.
Dinner:  Will be provided.
Cost:  The cost of the meeting is $15 per person (includes lunch), payable by cash/check/credit card at the meeting. Non-members and guests are welcome to attend.  Non-members and guests pay an additional $10 fee.  If guests join ASTD-NRC the day of their visit, the $10 guest fee is rolled into a $50 annual chapter membership fee.
