Launch! A Training Collaboration in Project and Organizational Performance Management(Please note that this will be a DINNER meeting. Please also note NEW location.) Date: Monday, October 16, 2006 Time: 6:00pm to 8:00pm Place: Harmony Public Library Community Room, Southeast corner of Shields Street and Harmony Road (on the Front Range Community College campus), Fort Collins Presenters: Richard Pennington and Dr. Dan Price
About the Presentation: Dan and Richard realized within the last year that project management and organizational performance management go hand-in-hand. This led to a unique collaboration: developing and hosting a seminar, "Launch! Toward On-Target Performance -- Practical Personal, Project, and Organizational Improvement." This presentation will use Dan and Richard’s aviation backgrounds to link together the history and challenges in the collaboration: - how they functioned as a team even though they were miles apart
- the special marketing challenges and how they met them
- the joint development of a seminar agenda that accommodated both of their interests
- how their relative strengths were leveraged in the course development
- deciding how to split the presentation topics and manage time
- their use of humor and other techniques
- what they gave participants and why
- assessment challenges
- what they will do different in the future
Enroute (an aviation term!) to learning about the collaborative course development you will be exposed to the essential elements of project and organizational performance management – in a fun way!
